Mona House, 38 Mona Road, Darling Point

In 1841 Thomas Ware Smart purchased James Dunlop's fifteen acre (6 hectares) allotment on the south-western corner of Darling Point where he built the regency style villa Mona, designed by the architect John Bibb.Today the building has been converted into 5 apartments, valued at over $2,000,000 each.

He also designed another 4 houses called Mona Terraces at 6,8,10,12 Mona Road for Mr T.W. Smart in Mona Vale.
